Catfish Hole

Well, yesterday my dad and I went out with a bucket of shiner to fish 2 ponds. FIrst one runs about 10 acres, deeper than normal for this area, around 14 feet, and weedy. We've caught some dinks and seen some 6+ fish, so we figured we'd pull a few nice ones out on shiners. Two hours=nothing, so we move down the road apiece. We've never fished this pond, so we were looking forward to having a possible new lunker hole. THis pond is about four acres, not real deep (under 4 foot) within 100 feet of shore, and has some nice weed/cattail line around the edge. Far as we could tell, there's not a bass in it, but it's chock full of 4#+ cats. So now we got a nice little cat hole when we feel like it. Never know what you'll find 'round here...
