Default About to head out to the lake and was wondering..

We recently had alot of rainfall upriver which brought the lake up about 10 feet over night, its the highest its been in about 16 months, lots of weeds and plants on main lake points are well under water. So I have two options that I would like input on. should I:

1. Head to the upper end of the lake where all the current and water flow is taking place also more narrow so will have alot of flow in a funnel type situation (will be pretty murcky water) or
2. Fish the main lake points that instead of being rock bottoms are covered in drowned weeds and grass.

This lake is in Central Texas, water temps are probably lower 60's
