Default Berkey Amp Rods

Does any one use them I was gonna get one since they are so cheap. But are they quality rods? I hear they are sensitive but I wanted to hear from some of you first.

I read a review on the tackle tour forums (spinning rod) on them, they seemed like a really good rod for the money, - the guides. I'm gonna TRY to get one to replace my Shakespeare Inspinty rod.

I would go and play with one first. If you are looking for a spinning rod I would not hesitate, I have the baitcaster and it is terribly uncomfortable to cast. Compare the grip to other rods. The trigger part of the grip is sharp on the end and digs into your side of your finger badly while casting. I went back to the store and checked out other ones and they were all the same. Even tried to sand it down and put some black duct tape on it for padding, but I dont even pick the rod up anymore. Prob threw less than 100 casts with it. I dont know if its just me, that that is my experience with them.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking about picking up one of these for perch/crappie fishing in the spring. I think a 6'6" M would be good for throwing the little crankbaits.
