Quick!!
Do you need a fishing license fishing an ocean on a private condo property off of a private pier? Do you need one for to fish on a charte boat also? IN TEXAS

I'd say you should be ok on the private pier, but you may need one on the charter boat. Don't quote me on either of these.

You should contact your local DFG. Any tackle shop should be able to tell you your local regs.....Google is your friend!

Private land ponds you should be fine if it is your property. Unsure about ocean front property. If not your property then I would think you'll need a salt water license. Charter boats normally are covered by the captain's license but ask the captain beforehand.
