Man...that sucks. I really liked his shows. He had such an enthusiasm for fishing.

Thats a real shocker for sure. He seemed like a really good guy. It's a shame.

Man that's too bad. His show has been a part of my Friday nights for a while now.

"Spanish Fly" was my favorite salt water program. It was evident he loved his fishing and was a personalbe guy. It is tragic how may people die in their small planes.

R.I.P., just a shame, watched his show, and always had a fantasy that some day I would get a chance to fish with him.

I've enjoyed his show for years. One of my favorite things about Jose was his tendency to fish shoeless. You gotta Love a guy confident/relaxed enough to walk around a busy boat barefoot!

I've been a fan of José and his show for 20 years... I was bummed and told my wife last night. She then told me that the artist Thomas Kinkade also died yesterday morning, also at age 54. Sad...

Man, that's sad. Used to love watching Salt Water Fly. Used to get up early on Saturdays just to watch it. RIP.
