15 inch worm !!! large pic warning
Good evening.. About a week ago, someone mentioned wanting a big 15 inch curl tail worm. Ask and you shall receive. Took me a while to make the mold, and get one poured up, but the end result is pretty good. Its not perfect, but its serviceable.
Let me know how much interest there would be in this size worm. I may consider adding it to the page. It takes a TON of plastic haha. |

I tried one at G'ville about a month and a half ago, but as it turned out there is a practical problem with a worm that big - especially a hand pour using super soft plastic. They tend to actually pull apart in the middle while you are casting, especially where the hook penatrates the body. Its a different experience casting them anyways, like throwing a bull whip.

Perhaps I could firm them up just a bit, would probably eleviate that problem.

Yeah only problem with the ones like that in brush is that the tail will get wrapped around limbs and stuff....the straight tails are better this time of year and will come right through the stuff.....

the plastic isnt nearly firm enough to get stuck on limbs. its the exact same back end as my 10 inch worm, or berkleys 10 inch power worm for that matter. Ive never gotten hung up on anything. unless my t-rig hook comes out, and snags something.
