Default Some wood carving practice

Practicing doing a kind of multi-layer type carving. Thought I'd share the progress.

More to come tomorrow.

That is awesome! What kinds of tools are you using? I foresee the carving of crankbaits in your near future that I would gladly field test for you, lol.

I was using a dremel tool. My sister bought a pneumatic high speed engraver a few years back that she won't using so she let me use it. So I switch between the two. The dremel comes in handy for clearing away larger spots, but the more detailed stuff is a lot easier with the engraver.

That looks great! You posted something like that awhile back and I actually thought it was sand blasted. Keep it up!

I can build models and tie flies. My friends call me to do fiddly things they don't have the patience for, but I sure can't do that! Nice work!

Stick Son!! Of course the work and outcome is reward enough but the capitalist in me can't help but wonder how you could turn talent into cash? How many similar to that could you do in a week if you commited to it?

Thank you folks.

That's a good question Kenneth. I'm thinking I might find out. Gonna make a few things and put em on ebay just to if I can get any money out of it and get and idea of how much some one would be willing to pay. Can't really judge how long cause I so far I work on it a little now and then. But I got a truck payment to inspire me now. Need something to fill in cigerette and gas money. lol

That thing turned out awesome! I don't know how you would go about selling them but I'm sure there is a market for it. That's way more impressive than a painting to me.
