Default tell me about your aluminium boats

for the fan of aluminium boats

i have two aluminiun boats. 1 is a 2002 legend with a 25 hp 4 stroke merc with a 44 lb thrust minn kota bow mount complete with live well and front and rear casting decks (made in Canada)

and the other is a 1950's sears 12 ft boat with a 30 tb thrust minn kotta tiller and soon to have 6.5 merc or omc

and im only 16 but fishing is my life.

please include info on your aluminium boat.

thanx

1982 16' Fisher Marine stick steer with a 15 HP Evinrude. Has a 36lb Motorguide foot controlled trolling motor. Flat bottom, and light so it can go a lot of places other boats can't. But it absolutley sucks in the wind or decent sized waves. I love this boat for smaller lakes, but would prefer a Ranger 20'-21' Fiberglass for all around fishing.

Lizards,
Better mount a deer stand on that alumie boat, get the best of both worlds, hit a body of water with a flipping stick, keep the muzzleloader handy for the occasional thirsty deer

Believe it not JB, I was planning on taking it out to Monroe, and going to places that are very hard to reach by land for some deer hunting this year. But I already got my deer before ever trying this out LOL

I have been called insane at least 4 times in the last week for going fishing in freezing weather, and anytime I can, even at night. But that is just too unstable for even my Bassaholic mind Unless I'm stranded somewhere and have no choice, I aint going out there

17' 1988 Alumacraft, 50 rude, 50# Minnkota all terrain on front, front and rear casting decks, mid ship livewell. Garmin fish finder and a sounder on front, sorry forgot the name. Does great on calm days, gets a little wet and rough on the chop. Can go in some pretty skinny water with her though.

I got a call from my dad today and he asked me if I would like an old aluminum boat with a trolling motor. After about 1/2 a second of deliberation I told him I would take it off of his hands. He lost his storage area and he figured I have room for it. Now I know where I will fish with it, but is there anything else that you guys would consider "must have" items for an aluminum boat? If I remember right it is about 12 feet, maybe 10, with a slight V bottom.

2005 Tracker Panfisher 16 with 25 Yammie 4-stroke. Motorguide. Great fishing boat.

Also have a 14-36 with a Briggs & Stratton 5.5 and Motorguide trolling motor and duck blind. Use that for duck hunting and for fishing in small farm ponds.

Also have a Lowe 12-36 that's sort of beat up that stays at a club I duck hunt and fish at. Plan on putting a seperate trolling motor mount on it for the spring so can take the trolling motor off the 14-36 and fish out of it.
