Finally I got a Chatterbait
Just found Chatterbait in a local CanadianTire today, and it costed me $10! unbelievable price.
Any way, fishing is getting tough now, so I hope the chatterbait will work well as guys recommended. |

a hank parker spinner bait is the best spinnerbait i have used, both the willow blade and the callarado blade ones. just the other day i caught a 38" muskie on one.

i still have had limited sucess with the chatter bait. use on a mh rod minimum it will vibrate like crazy at any speed -it stops vibrating when a fish grabs it- i normally slow roll it. but don't let me stop ya tring differant speeds..

And check the hook-all the ones I have had to be sharpened-they came out of the package pretty dull.

Thanks guys.
I went to test it this afternoon. I have tried it on three spots from bank. I have caught 4 fish in one hour, 3 pike and one LM. The weather was very sunglasses, hot and kind windy, so it was very tough later afternoon for fishing. I just made a slow and steady retrieve, and I like its action. Like Zooker said it vibrated crazy, I felt its action is sort like Rapala joint-shad's, but even stronger. I also caught 2 about 15" LM by weightless T-rigged zoom brush hog, which was the only other bait I used this afternoon. Any way, thanks Reb, i never think about the hook could be dull, however I did lose a fish on my chatterbait ( a brandnew from box) this afternoon. Hard to say it worths its price, however, I like its design idea and its action. Also it is always fun to try new stuff. |

Booyah makes one that is white/blue that I got at BPS in Vegas for 5.99. I have had good luck with it so far. It took me a bit to get used to the crazy action that it gives. Try throwing some different trailers on it to experiment. I am going to try it with a soft jerkbait trailer this weekend to see what happens. I think they are worth the money to have at least one in your arsenal. Depending on where you are throwing it, I don't think that a lot of the fish have seen that presentation yet and that helps with catching them.

i figure any thing that vibrates like the chatter bait is going to be killer in muddy water.. i have several blue/blacks waiting for muddy water..the few i have had sucess with are white chartuses and white and silver shad black flake..

and just to let you know, you can make one i did, but its not so amazing. didnt get the blade dimensions down. flatten a colorado blade, then use a dremel or something sharp to cut it into shape. find the dimensions from one you have or online. then drill 3 holes. 2 right next to each other, and put a snap in it. one near the bottom. then use the bottom hole to connect to a jig with a split ring.
