Default yes! my lures work!

finally got some feedback on the middle lure:

the guy said it had great action, flowed right thru the water. i gave it a weird kite bill shape, and narrowed it a bit. last night he caught a small 1 pound fish. not the best size, but hey, it works. making 10 flatcranks at home over this week, then im doing jerkbaits, fat cranks, and then deep diving minnows, followed by topwaters

Congrants! One thing I notice about your lures though is they are a bit chunky. Get some sandpaper and smooth those babies out before you add the paint, they will look a whole lot better.

right... as soon as i make some more lures you can all have a try. fishin dude, its not the sanding. it is the epoxy. i dont have a drying whell so they end up driping. if i sand the epoxy layer it turns all white and messed up. i use rough sanding drums to shape the lures, fine sanders to smoothen it, then the finest sandpeper i have to give the finishing sanding. yeah ive been asking around to find ways betetr than epoxy. its a huge mess

Vibration can trigger bass into biting.Would chunky baits put out more vibration than a smooth finished bait ?Doc, You got eyes on them all ? get some neck hackle feathers at bass pro shop and tie some feather tails on your top waters. They are less than $3.00 a pack and you can tie alot of them up out of one pack.If you get a extra one made keep me in mind.Don't smooth mine out or put eyes on it. I'll put the feathers on it myself too. P N J

cranky,

If you hand turn the baits for the first 20 minutes right after you epoxy them they will stay smooth. You don't have to turn them constantly like a wheel, just make sure no one side stays "down" for more than a couple of minutes before you turn the lure so that it all sags the other way. I often epoxy more lures than my wheel holds and never have a problem as long as i hand turn them. Hope this helps,

Dwain

i suppose i could hand turn them, but it would be a bit hard to do 10 at a time. ill see if i can invent something

pnj- like i said before, it was the epoxy that got bumpy, and sanding it made it all messed up. the top and middle were not too chunky, the bottom one was though. they all have eyes, the one on the bottom has a more flatish face with the eyes on top... i still have it if you want to see it
fishing4soup- ill show you all the lures and you can pick out out when theyre ready
