Default Bass Prey Size

Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but I found it interesting. It puts lure size into a better perspective for me.....

Nice. I knew the 10" Curl-Tail worms I got would come in handy!

This was another timely post Amigo... As I was sorting tackle i realized that I have stayed away from larger baits this article encourages me to go bigger... and consequently, buy another tackle box, different line, maybe another rod... AHH THE MONKEY!

Sorry brushog. The monkey promised to leave me in peace for one whole day if I offered a sacrifice. Since you were the first to bite, I guess you're it!

WSA, that was a really cool article, thanks for sharing! I may even try some bigger baits. I do knot first hand that a 5" bass will go after a 4" YUM Craw Papi.

Thanks BB and brushhog. Trying to expand our minds. It could be bunk or it could lead to a lunker, who knows until we try?

I saw my wife catch a 3 inch bass on a hula popper....wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.

Thanks WSA. That helps to answer my question about how big is too big regarding crankbaits.

This is why big ol swim baits are the new rage. But the thing is it's not a new idea. Just an old one that has been refreshed. 10 inch worms & striper size sassy shad i 'm still fishing the big stuff. I've nevor left. But fishing the big stuff does remind me of my old wisconsin days fishing for muskie. You know the fish of 10 thousand cast.
