nope you're done, happens to all of us now and then, either on setting the hook, a tailgate getting them, or picking them up by the tip on cheaper rods.
If its a high end rod you may be able to take it back and try to get another one. You can cut the rod down to the next eyelet and fish with it, it doesn't look the greatest but the rod and reel still will function,. I know it sucks I broke a brand new one off at Ky lake a few months ago, and will never buy that brand again. |

How much of the tip did you break off? Walmart sells a repair kit with that last guide and some glue to fix catastrophes like that. It'll be shorter, but will still do the job.
Just ask my wife...LOL

Take it to back to where you bought it and beat the crap out of everyone there with it until they give you a new one!
You can guy a repair kit or cut it off to the next guide like JB said. Or just get a new rod. (The baitmonkey votes for the last option.) BB

i think i've broke at least 4 tips off, and i've always cut it to the next guide, then eventually get a tip repair kit. Dicks has the fugi kit, the best line guides IMO.

Fuji's are the best, but unfortunately, those kits you buy aren't going to be close in quality to the tips on any decent mid price range and up rod. I mean think about it, three tips and glue for around 5.50. I paid 5 for one SiC tip when I built my flippin' stick. But there aren't many guides better than Fuji SiC, especially when it comes to braid.

how much of the tip?? 1" or 2"?? just sand it down and replace the tip with epoxy.. trick is they heat the glue in the tip when they build the rod..heat it up and the glue will come out.... you all need to ease up....she IS a heel after all same as ME.... i thought better from you 1/8 stick..... zooker

She didn't say she broke off more than just the tip...maybe an inch or so counting the guide. If that's the case all she needs to do is get a replacement tip guide...Wallyworld has 'em... of the tightest diameter tube that will slip onto the rod, force a tad of Gorilla Glue into the tube, force it on, being careful to align it with the other guides, and "Voila!". She'll need to make certain that it's a clean break or carefully gently saw off enough to assure she's not adding the new tip to a splintered stump.
Cutting the rod back to the first guide will KILL that rod's usefulness for anything but carp fishing. L6 |

when putting my line guides on and gluing them straight, i run the line through the first guide, then back down to the next one and tie it to the front of it, then reel up the slack, so it pulls the tip straight.
