Offshore 8/5
Got some friends on some fish this week and the only fish. Really slow for us this weekend.
First one up was a 6lb. Kingfish And then we got another hook-up for the Kingfish Kid's Dad and got this 25lb. 'cuda Dad also reeled in two other 'cudas and a bonita that broke off at the boat. |

We also saw a pontoon boat about 25 miles offshore too, which is really really stupid for many reasons

I do too, dont personally own it yet, a friend let me use his rod with it on it a couple of times, and next time I use braid, I'll use it. Their mono isn't as good as Ande, but its 2nd imo, it has no memory whatsoever.

Nice job chris. I notice you post a lot of smaller kings, is that area standard, bad luck, or just a lack of targetting the smokers? No offense intended.

No we get the big ones!! We fish Pelican Flats, A lot of the tournament teams from tournaments out of Ft. Pierce and south will run all the way up to where we fish to find a big smoker (over 100 mi. sometimes) Just not targetting them, YET!!
Plus the little ones are better for ya anyways! |

Yeah, less mercury.... Just curious. Hope you catch yourself a nice 40 plus smoker this year.

check out the back of the pontoon, it looks like they're holding a shark off the back of the boat.
