Default Small Bass Problem

Ive been fishing this pond for about 2 months now and all i catch is 1 and 2 pound bass.. This is great big office park pond with alot of bass, 23 in one day!! But I have only caught one three pounder, and saw about a 4-5 pounder. There has to be more big ones and how do i catch them considering ive thrown everything from topwater, senkos, crankbaits, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits, jig-n-pig, and the fluke.

Any suggestions

How old is the pond? Perhaps it hasn't had enough time to produce a lunker yet. I'd try large shiner minnows just to see if you will get a larger bass. Guides in Florida use large shinners all the time for truly huge trophy bass for their clients. Otherwise, I would use larger baits to try to get a responce from larger bass.

I might add that buzzbaits worked in the morning hours when things are calm are known for being lures that take larger than average bass. Give that a try.

Keep these small bass. They make it more difficult for the better fish to find enough food to help them get bigger.
The pond may be over crowded with small fish. Do you see any bream ? If not then chances are that this can be the case.
I fish a pond that has become over populated with small bass, the owner sayed to keep the small ones. These days I catch appx. 15 small fish. I used to catch alot of bass between 2 and 4 lbs. It seems that the over population had already began. These fish are not growing and now I catch "maybe" one decent fish mixed in with the small fish.
No bream to be seen these days, most of the fry that I have seen are small bass.

They may be eating smaller fish etc..
The bottum line is that if some of the small bass arent removed, then all your bass will be small.
I also fish a pond where you can catch alot of bass in the 1-1/2 lb range. As a matter of fact, I went there bream fishing and caught 8 bass between 1-1/2 lb. That tells you what happens when a pond is restricted from fishing.
All bass stay small and die as small bass.
You need to keep some of the bass to ensure the population stays intact. That reminds me of something, the small bass are great at fish fries !
