Listen to mostly rock. Classic is always good, led zep, who, some southern rock like skynard is good too. Listen to a lot of metal, old Metallica, Pantera, so on. I also listen to some of the death metal bands that you don't really hear on the radio at all. Favorite band right now is Avenged Sevenfold(avatar) they've got a lot of shred in their songs as well as an incredible drummer and they actually sing in a lot of their songs as opposed to just saying the words, probably the most talented band out there right now.

I like some of there songs, but Atreyu, and Senses Fail have the best guitarist, IMO.

I've listened to Atreyu and Senses Fail, both are really good. But if you listen to Burn it Down or MIA form their latest album, I haven't really heard anything that comes close to either of their guitarists. Of any major group today, I think they really do have the best, IMO. There have defenitely been better individual guitar players, such as Yngwie Malmsteen and such, but its hard to fins any players that are that good out there. BTW, I hate Linkin Park and Nickelbak, I know a lot of people that think that they're metal, but they're more pop than anything else, as well as just about everything else on the radio.

Yeah I cant stand Linkin Park, and Nickelback has no talent at all......I still believe that the best guitarist ever was Jimmy Page from led zep, I have a huge poster of him in my room playing a Gibson ES doubleneck special edition. Beautiful guitar, makes me drool.
