Red shad works very well for me most times. Also I think size is as important as color.

Red shad or waternelon red flake seem to be the best colors. You can also try there christmas tree color.

In addition to the other colors, watermelon/chartreuse swirl and baby bass/pearl swirl. I throw those more than anything. You also might try sweet potato pie in that dark water.

Black/neon, red shad, and watermelon red would be the colors I would try, and in that order.

For any of you that are willing to try this......Today, I split a stick about a 1/4 of the way up the backside...kinda made it into a split tail deal. When in the water and falling, the tails would kinda waggle sometimes independently, and sometimes as one solid piece. I got a couple bites on it, wasn't able to hook em, but it does appear to work.

Thanks.
Honestly, I am not quite understanding. So you mean wacky it on 1/4 of the way up the backside? It that right?

no, Texas rig it like normal, then take some scissors or whatever, and split the back part about 1/4 of the way up. That way, whenever you move it through the water and let it fall, the two "tails" will have action either independent of each other, or they will stick together and be "one" like a normal tiki. Hopefully this makes it a little more clear. If I had my digital camera I'd rig one and take a picture of it.
