I have always found Gamakatsu to be a realy reliable brand. There sharp out of the pack and dont bend. Eagle Claw has also served me well. I recomend both, Which ever you like best...........

I have no complaints with Gamakatsu which most of my hooks are. I did find one Diacchi (sp) new in the bag with a bent over point. I have been meaning to send it back to them.

Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp. I've never once had a problem with any of their hooks, and they aren't terribly expensive.

Eagle claw lazer sharp meets all your requirments. Mustads arent as sharp and gammys and daiachi are too expensive for me.

Mustad or Eagle Claw. I'll use the Gammy's Super Line hook. The EWG's straighten out to easy for me.

I'm also a Gamakatsu guy....EWG is for me. I like the thinner wire ones because of the ease of hook penetration I get, but you really got to check the tips after every fish and hang up cause the tips bend so easily. Or maybe those were diachi's that got snuck into the pkg. I also replace all my trebles on my hardbaits with the Gamakatsu trebles.
