Need a little more info-water temp, water clarity, cloud cover, etc. Just off the top of my head I'd try a topwater or a buzzbait.

Yeah, need a little more info, but I would say topwaters and spinnerbaits, and maybe a shallow diving crankbait.

KH your a little off. The saying is "The early bird gets the worm" and has nothing to do with fishing but the as in the person first someone will get it such as first come, first served.

30 percent of the time in the morning i use a buzzbait on a 7 foot spinning outfit.on a other rod with the same combo(except this line is flurocarbon) i have a 5 inch texposed tiki stick.i dont believe in a trailer hook because i cant fish over shallow weeds and so forth with out it getting hung up so when i miss a fish i throw the tiki(because they never hit the buzz again).the other 70 percent is a mix bewtween worms, spooks, lizards and cranks
