hmmm scratched rod and reels hmmmm nope not that i know of. even strapped down on a carpeted boat deck they recieve what is called boat rash. comes from the continues bouncing while racing from place to place. i know how ya feel bout your gear i beat the hell out of mine. but still boat rash on a $200 reel is an aweful thing. but does it work differantly ? hell no...i say beat it like it owes you money than buy a new one ..

I got one a couple years back and it works real well for transporting rods.

Worked fine for me, kh. Do a search for rod case on the BPS website and it will show up.

Zooker-never had a problem with the rod tips-the tips are enclosed in the bag, and it is padded. I don't remember how many it could hold, but it was enough for a weekend trip.
