Battery connection
I have a 12V trolling motor. Besides running down cranking battery,is there any other problem with connecting trolling battery in parallel with cranking battery? Thanks.

Well, there are two significant problems.
One, depending on your motors and batteries, which you haven't told us a lot about yet, you might run the trolling motor long enough to drain your batteries to the point they won't start your outboard. That could be a big problem. Two, your outboard motor's alternator might not be designed to charge at the increased amperage two drained batteries in parallel will draw. Blown alternator...big problem again. There are other potential problems as well, but I figure these would be enough to start. Welcome to the site.

I'm a bit of a boating rookie, but for what it's worth, I like the idea of the two batteries being totally separate - no worries that if I use the TM too much, I won't be able to start the OB and I'm stuck somewhere.
