big monster scares JB, ends up loosing her...

Got out the horny toad and threw into some fallen timber and almost the "nano second" it hit the water some wide back bass nailed it! I reckon' it was big nuff to pull a wagon train, but came off after the first jump. My fault for not thinking they would hit today and caught me off guard.
After a few more hours with the top water toad and some spinnerbait, I threw out one of PNJ's traps, and caught a nice one over a hump of milfoil thanks again Ivan...
Got out the worm and fished deep, figured the ol summertime pattern would hold up, but nothing, then got a 5 inch punkin grub and nail 2 more.
Kinda slow, but was nice to get out, a deer was on the banks and saw other wildlife (including those pesky biting flies)...I figure I'll hit it again this afternoon if the wind will kick up.
Water conditions...82, stained, and no wind, air temp 70....ahhh ain't oHIo heat waves wonderfull LOL (ducks from the southern boi's that are cookin in 90's )
