Default Columbus Ohio fishing area with playground close?

Does anyone know of a lake or pond or anywhere that has maybe a playground area within site of a fishing spot around the Columbus area? The boys get bored and if I had a playground within sight I could keep fishing and let them play...... Does that sound selfish? haha.

My wife is working nights part time on the weekends temporarily so I gotta keep the boys out of the house and busy so she can sleep during the day. I am trying to get my fishing fix and keep the boys occupied too. Fishing doesn't enthrall them after about an hour tops so this would be ideal for us.

i'd start looking at any city resouvoir or park that allows fishing and has playgrounds. We have one about 10 miles away in richmond. hope you stay close enough to be able to respond to any child emergency tho.

I'd take htem fishing for bluegill or such wehre they'll pretty much always be catching fish. You may not do so much catching, but you'll be helping them. Maybe they won't get bored this way,

That is why I try to take them to the small pond, there is usually a lot of bluegill action there in the shallows but they aren't even biting down there.

We kept them occupied for a bit tonight while the wife and I tried to fish, we baited their poles and had them all set up, it didn't even last one full minute tonight. They were just too hyped up for it this evening.

There is a small pond near the house with a nice playground not too far away. It is within eyeshot but too far for me to be comfortable with them playing. It would take me a minute or two to get over there from the pond and that is too far for my comfort.

I was just wondering if there was a miracle spot I could go to...haha.
