I like some of y'alls suggestions for baits, I'd like to add another one as well. Check out the Grande Bass Rattlesnakes, I just started trying the c-rig and have been using these baits and they have been out of this world. I also used the 4" rattlesnake on a shakeyhead set up as well with good results

Nope, never had a problem with it.

Those really are some great baits, I've used them as well. Some of my personal favorites are the Lake Fork Tackle Baby Ring Fries and the Zoom Centepedes

Thanks Bob, I think I'll stick to my first choice of brass weights then.

Today I got my stuff from BTE, Barlows Tackle Express, and one item, I ordered 10" ribbontail worms. 5'' are worm, and the other 5" is "ribbon". So I was thinking, instead of using a bait like a DT22 or DD22 and crankin' your arm off to locate deep Summer fish, use a C-Rig with this long 10" worm to get their attention. Wouldn't it work? I mean, 10" is a lot of worm, you might not get every bite hooked up, but the worms is so big, it would be easy to locate fish that are deep.

Do you Guys think using this worm, or larger, could/would locate deep Summer fish? Would it truly get 'ya more bites -vs- Crankin' your arm off?

-LL-
I mainly use the 10" in weeds but I have used it c-rigging and it works ok! just remember to place the hook farther back on the worm to increase the hook up percentage. It seems that sometimes they just pick it up and running off with the hook not in there mouth.
