Default Fishing Glue

What kind would you use? Does specialty fishing super-glue have advantages over regular super-glue?
Thanks

Well, fishing glue is specially made for plastics, or hardbaits, where as SUPER glue may break apart when introduced to water or force (BASS BITE).

Regular super glue gets hard and it ruins plastic baits. I don't believe that the special fishing super glue does this.

Pro's softbait glue is the best, although last bottle I had I let it dry out.

lol. So I should just put the cap on right away and be as clean as I can with it? Otherwise, will the tube harden?

I'll get some of that

Jool's the Pro Soft-Bait Glue works well but is pricey. But make sure you buy something that will help you get your fingers apart after you glue them together . I believe they recommend a product but can't remember the name. Nothing worse than trying to fish with stuck fingers! I had a booth a couple years ago next to them and watched them pitch Ike the product. He was impressed and bought a couple bottles. The guys running the booth would also glue a quarter to the floor and see how many people would stop and try and pick it up. One guy pulled out a pocket knife after realizing what they had done and cut it off the floor! Smiled and walked away with it. They laughed the entire time.

Lol. That has happened to me with those crappy tube superglues. It does suck and leave a bad feeling in your fingers... like there is wax on them and it won't come off, or something similar.

I had the tacklebox flip over in the truck on the way to the lake, when I opened it the cap off the glue had been knocked off, and about 15 spinnerbait blades were glued to the side of the tacklebox..talk about strong glue, took a thin chisel to get them off, had to throw most away, the glue took the shine off the blades.

Actually Zook....Not Nuff Said!

There is a new product that is sweeping the West Coast for glue and soft plastics. Its called Mend-It. Actually its not a glue it chemically bonds soft plastics together. It was made originally to repair torn swimbaits but after a bit of trial and error, found that this product is great for ANY soft plastics. Unlike Super glue or even Pros soft bait glue....If you get any on your hands it evaporates rather than glueing your fingers. This is a remarkable product. It is a little bit more expensive but if you can repair senkos...swimbaits...brushhogs or whatever your soft plasctic of choice is then it will pay its self off very quickly.
