Default Reels, Reels, Reels...

For christmas I have asked my wife for a giftcard to BPS. Assuming the card will be around 100$ or maybe a lil more (possibly less if she gets me some more LSU shirts, jerseys, and hats). I was wondering if you guys could tell me yalls favorite reels from the 150$ and below range.

Much appreciated!

BPS pro Qualifiers are really good from what I hear! I'd also try a out a revo S or SX (you may be able to find one of the older ones ( from just this year) for under 150. Look at the Daiwa Terrai too!

Yea he's a great guy, kinda the father I never had. I enjoy my REVO S, and Ill look into some more Garcias. But Im really intrested in the Shimano Citica. The reviews on Cabelas and BPS sites were great, but I've been surfing the site as a non member for about a month now and the members here seem to get it right alot of the time. So if you have any insight or anyone has any insight on the Citica i would appreciate it.

I would recommend the Revo S by a mile. I've got two now and absolutely love them. I was comparing the Revo S and the Shimano Citica together at our local BPS. Now I'm not going to say the Citica is a bad reel, but quality of build it just didnt seem to compare the the Revo. A much cheeper look and feel overall. Also, I was very impressed with the new Pro Qualifier reel from BPS. I thought that reel was more impressive than the Citica. So much so I'm thinking about buying one.

absolutely.for pflueger spinning the lowest i would go is the president XT not the regular president because it has a graphite frame.

I had my eye on the baitcast President a few years back, but I opted to go with my Sedona 4000RB instead. To be honest I was a lil intimidate by Baitcast. But sense I got my REVO S, I've learned to really enjoy and appreciate it!

Being a Daiwa product, it should be good, but I've never used one.

I'd go with a Daiwa Tierra, or Revo S.

I have two Prodegy reels I've used for a couple years now. I've never had any issues with my Prodegy reels and they have performed well for me. But my Revo S outcasts the Prodegy noticably and has a stronger drag.
