We have one as our main depthfinder on our rowboats. Just a great unit. You will love it.

i have the 520c, it is on the bow of the boat. having a little trouble with it right now. think it is the transponder though. not as good as the lowrance i have at the console. but a good one none the less.

Its referring to the number of pixels displayed on the screen.
I'm looking at getting the Eagle 640x480 combo. costs right around $500 and up for add ons likes the navigational charts.

We put one in our rig last year, and it seems to work well. I cannot seem to figure it all out yet, but as they say, good comes to those who wait. Overall I really enjoy it though. It tells me depth, bottom composition, etc. For a $200.00 unit (probably cheaper now), it works quite well.
