Spawning??
Yes I was just curious if anyone knew what is up with the spawning here in the Midwest, because here in Southwest Missouri the bass have not spawned and I cannot figure it out

Zach - It looks like you were left out of the loop. The bass secretly spawned in 18-22' of water on old submerged tractors, VW's, and Winner bass boats. I would say that if the water temps are in the low 80's like they are here then they've spawned and gone home. You just missed it.

the spawn starts once the water temp reaches around the 60 mark.

Quick question... where are the fish located? (post-spawn)

They usually hang around the bedding area for a week or so, then move off to deeper water (usually, along the same routes that they used pre-spawn) to school up, and chase baitfish.

I have noticed in Iowa that alot of fish are done spawning or just gaurding fry, but this only last for a week or two. Since you're from Missouri, the bass should be in post spawn/summer pattern. They probably spawned in early to late April and the through out May. Im not saying there aren't any fish spawning, but the vast majority are done. If you still want to look for spawning bass, in reservoirs look at the bottom half of the res, and in lakes, look in the south and west part of the lakes. These parts still may have some spawning bass!
