Default Just checking in...

How's everyone doing? I just returned to CA last night from spending 10 days in SE Kansas deer and turkey and spending time with my mom (who I hadn't seen in 4 years).

I'm a little behind the power curve right now, still need to order my Secret Santa gifts and get those sent out.

Did alright during the hunts; I filled my deer tag (he wasn't nothing to brag about), got me 2 coyotes while I was out deer hunting and 3 turkeys once turkey season opened up (that was an exciting hunt, I'll start another thread on it and post up a couple of pics). One had a nice beard, but no spurs (we were a little confused on that one). The beard was in the realm of 8", I still have it and need to measure it.

Hope you all have been well and I'll be back around more now that I'm home.

Good to hear from you Shane. Glad you got to spend some time with family and in the great outdoors. It's too bad you didn't get one of those Kansas bruisers but a little meat in the freezer is plenty consolation. Welcome back.

Thanks guys!

Joe- The day before I dropped my deer we seen a nice 10 pointer while doing some country cruising, but he wasn't game as he was on another property. Then the day I was out turkey hunting we had a 6 and 8 pointer come into the field with 4 doe's. That's alright there's always next year!

JD- I gained only a pound or so. My mother has spinal stenosis so she wasn't to cook a whole lot for me. I didn't realize how bad it was until after I was there as I was hoping for a lot of good 'ol home cookin'. I cooked a few times for her though.

KD- My mom was really excited to see me and I was excited to see her. Time flew by though and it always does.

I'm slacking on the pictures as you all can probably tell, LOL! I've been busy helping the wife finish up the Christmas shopping, etc. I'll get them up though. Shoot I feel bad as it is for the Secret Santa thing; I still haven't been able to get an order placed or anything shipped. I'm working on that now though.
