Well after multiple follow ups and calls....Im now holding a check for the insured amount!!!.

Thank god!!...Thats the great news!

The bad news is they shipped me back an empty tube??...I ask where the rod was and no one knows.....They sent an email today to the local shipper to double check and will inform me....Yea Im paid for the rod back,but Im not giving them an inch until the rest is returned

Anyway,the rebuild is underway,and hopefully it'll be a long time before I have to deal with this again.

The incompetence is beyond all comprehension. Makes you want to do bad things to them people. Sorry that happened to that sweet rod. I recently bought a rod off someone and he shipped it in pvc. The tube had a dent in it like someone tried to bend it around a pole or something. Thank goodness it wasn't broke cause I forgot to get insurance.

glad you got it settled flappy jack. now hurry up with that rebuild. poor ol bryce is gonna bust his top ifn he don't get it before feb. hahahahaha!!!!

That was a quick recovery, happy that they took care of it. The last time I shipped rods I used PVC DWV foam core pipe. That stuff seemed a lot stronger than normal SCH40 PVC, might be worth a look.
