Default Favorite lure/live bait you have ever used in a pond?

For me it would have to be the Rapala floating jointed minnow in Black Silver and i think it's the smallest one. What has worked for you(Live bait, soft plastics, crankbaits etc).

I can't pick a favorite, as I use the same full assortment of lures in ponds that I use in larger waters. They all have their time and place.

Pretty much the same for me, however I have caught more fish on a Black Lizard than anything else, because I have fished them more than anything else Also if I haven't told you I love your signature, rings true everyday

Default favorite lure

I break it down into 2 categories. If the fish are feeding aggressively( such as in low light conditions in the fall) I will go to a 1/8 ounce spinnerbait. If the fish are inactive I will go to a Shaky Head worm or a small flipping jig like a bitsy jig. When i'm fishing small ponds I think smaller lures will out produce the larger ones.

Hope this helps

Haven't fished in a pond in 55 years. But when I was a young one, I would use live crikets and worms for sunnies and cats. Never knew what a spinner bait was until I found a mepps. Caught my first bass on it and have been using spinner baits since.
