Welcome to the forum!

I'd try several things. Since you know shad is present I'd try baits that resemble shad-crankbaits, jerkbaits, and spinnerbaits. For the rock areas I'd go with a crawfish colored crankbait and a jig-n-pig that resemble crawfish. A spot I would try is where the creek enters-throw into the creek and work back out towards the lake, moving your bait with the current. Good luck!

Reb pretty well covered it. AT this time of year the openings to creeks and coves will be filled with shad. I'd start at the mouth and work my way in. Like reb said shad baits and pnj's outta get some attention. Follow it all the way in. Depending on water temp you should have a good day. Good luck.
