I believe it is a Green Sunfish, they are very aggressive like a rock bass...

Ryan, that is definitely a rock bass, and not a green. You can tell by the fins. On a rock bass, the dorsal fin and the fat fin look almost like one continuous fin. On a green, like in your picture, they are almost separate.
As to its color, all bass and sunfish have a high degree of variability in their coloration. Even on a day to day basis with the weather. That fish might look 'normal" tomorrow.

I catch a lot of green sunfish in that lake and they look much different.
This fish doesn't have the white tips on the tail fin or the spot on the gill plate. Rock Bass usually have much brighter red eyes than other sunfish. Green Sunfish |

I gotta say, that sure doesn't look like any Rock Bass I've ever seen.
On Rockies, the Dorsal and Anal fins are rounded at the back. Plus I'm not seeing the same striping patterns, although that could just be due to that fish's neon color.

Mallen, I think if you look closely, you'll see that the rounded portion at the back of the adipose(fat) fin is darker; i.e, it is contracted, and pulled forward, making the back edge look straight instead of rounded.
On another note....hell, those things hybridize so much, it could be part Asian Silver Carp.

Hmm. The closest thing I could think of to it is a warmouth.

I did consider that, but the odds are against it. Both fins, in both pics, don't appear rounded. 0 for 4

Well, I'm not aware of any sunfish anywhere that have pointed adipose or anal fins. That is why I am more inclined to believe the ends are contracted.
