Default Ever See A Angler "MeltDown" While Fishing?

Sure, we've all had days on the water when the equipment quits working, trolling motors, steering cables, battery goes dead etc, but have ya ever witnessed a guy fishing that goes apesh*t over a missed bass?
I've seen guys take brand new poles and snap them over thier knees, or even throw them in the drink! Of course most are casual anglers, not the hard core like most of us are, and know the value of what tackle costs...
but its always amusing to me to see some clown start yelling at himself and everyone else over a missed fish...anyone else ever got a good laugh over this?

Reminds me of the Bill Dance Blooper video I have. I haven't witnessed it personally JB, but I am sure it happens all the time. Some folks just get too dang serious about their "fun" fishin, and some of those tourny guys, well, they just have way too much equipment I guess....

Can you say IKE..................................... sorry, you asked. Fishing isn't life and death it's fun, take the fun out of fishing and it isn't worth doing anymore, in my opinion. And no, I would never consider doing it for a living, that would take the fun out of it and as I said, it wouldn't be worth doing for me, as it's now my major source of recreation. I asked Denny Brauer once (at a Bsssmaster Univ session) what he did for fun............ it wasn't fishing!

My normal partner gets that way. Yells;screams, cusses. Wont break crap though. I think Ive calmed him down a little. I hope to see the guy throwing good equipment in, Ill log the spot and wait for him to leave. Never pass up free stuff.

have a buddy who will throw his rods & reels around over a missed bass, he's a pretty good angler which kinda confuses me a bit. I mean come on it happens.

My fishing buddy doesn't get angry. He just psyches himself out and then becomes disinterested.

I must admit, sometimes when I lose a fish, I waste time thinking about the lost fish rather than thinking about catching the next fish.

Helluva nice fish there JB. Speaking of going bannanas over a missed fish my cousin a few years back missed one or actually lost it at the boat and literally beat the rod he was using in 2 on the side of the aluminum boat we where fishin outta. I laughed so hard I had tears rolling. After he was through asked him"Now whatcha gonna do HUH cant fish with half a rod"His reply can I use one of yours.Mine was HELL NO. AHHH WHat memories. LOL.

Yep I really lost it once while out fishing, I threw my torn plastics and empty soda cans and cigar butts all over the bottom of the boat while I was fishing. That damned tantrum lasted all of last summer. They are still in the bottom of the boat for this year, so I guess the tantrum goes on.... Gonna post a help wanted sign downtown stating : looking for a Red head willing to wear a cowgirl hat, likes to keep a clean boat and willing to learn how to jig fish. P N J

JB, I put together a flipping outfit, I caught 26 bass today all because I was inspired by your posting of the ebig girl. It poured, most of the time I was out there, I had 2 girls that were drinking keystone light and smoking left handed cigarettes take the picture for me.I just hope they got the fish in the picture. All they had was eye liner, bright red lipstick, so ya anit gettin a clown face.I tried to get them to pose for a wet t-shirt picture for laser, but I didnt have anything else to offer but some slightly soggy cigars and a few cold Dr peppers in the cooler. Sorry Laser.
