Default Little John crankbaits from Spro

Has anyone one tried the Little John crankbaits from SPRO, designed by John Crews. If so, what do you think?

Sure have. I was turned on to them last year by a friend. They have a very different sound since they use a tungston weight, and they cast a mile. Even in the wind. I really like it. I only have 1 because they are 10 bucks.

Got some last week. I fished Erie today and didn't crank but I've got a small tournament tomorrow on a lake where they might be the ticket. I'll report later if I use them.

i threw the heck out of Lil John (YEAAAAA), with no results. Lake was completely off though, none of the three boats caught any bass in 4.5 hours. 32 degrees at blast off time. They just wouldn't hit anything! I'll try them again soon.

Fished a tournament last night with MIBasser and we ended up second. He had the big bass with a 3.22 and mine was 3.16. Mine came on the Lil John and had another one or two on it as well. It comes through the weeds pretty well and the fish hit it hard. I like it a lot and will keep throwing it, hopefully the pike don't get their toothy mouths on it.

I've used them all season and it would be nice when I get my hands on the med divers.I like the action and the smallies do also.Would be nice if the price would come down a little because the pike seem to like a good diet of them also.

Lure Jensen Speed Traps are my go-to crankbait in the shallow/medium category, but those Lil Johns definitely look nice. I'd tie one on.

Hey chubs, where in Minnesota are you from?

I thought the Lil John md was coming out this Fall, but I havent seen it yet. I have had great success on the Bandit med divers and love the looks of the lil john. It would def be great if the price came down.

Oh ok, I was just asking because I have alot of relatives in MN. Most are around the MPLS/St. Paul area though. I do some fishing in western MN every year and I love it. Never been up to Duluth.

I got mine here for $8.95, a little less than other places plus they are good people to deal with. These dive a couple feet deeper than speed traps.
