Boat Def: A floating hole you throw money into...
I've heard this a lot. Now I'm a newbie to boating only having gotten my boat last summer and had her in the water 16 times.
Now I have to say that initially outfitting her with everything needed: lines, bumpers, anchor, oar, safety gear....not to mention new tires for the trailer and battery for the TM added up, but since then, it's just been gas and oil. So why does boating get the bad rap? Is it just because like fishing, there's always stuff one 'could' buy? (hmmm....like since that real scorcher of a day trip last summer I've been thinking of a bimini top)))
