I've got the 7'6" Heavy, Extra-fast, and i love it. Its light and sensitive, I fish 50# braid on it and it does the job. Plenty of backbone and strength. For the price range, I dont think theres a better rod on the market.

How much are you willing to spend? I'll assume right around the price of the Carbonlite.
What kind of baits will you be flipping? weights? What line? What kind of cover are you fishing? I've never used a Carbonlite, but don't care for the large tip on the regular guided rods. I'd only buy a Micro guided Carbonlite. Some other rods to look at would be the AG Verdict 7'6" H. rated up to 1-1/2oz, it should be fairly broomstick-ish. Possibly the Lamiglas Excel 7'11" H, rated up to 2oz. If you're willing to spend a bit more, I'd look into Powell rods. The Powell Max 765 or 766 flipping rods should both worth. the 766 is probably going to be the broomstick you're looking for. For the next step up I'd take a look at the Dobyns Champion 765FLIP or 766FLIP. The 805FLIP would also be a good choice. I stouter rod, but also 8'. BB
