Rain rain rain
Two days in the rain and six more to go. My hands are prunes and my head hurts. My feet are tired from the rubber boots. I have to rotate my rain suits in order to get a dry one. The river will rise and flotson will flow. April is over and it feels like it just begun.
Woh is me on a rainy Monday. You know those white boots shrimpers wear? Up on the Bay we refer to them as T.I.T.S. Tilghman Island Tennis Shoes. If they are white enough you can also wear them to church after Memorial Day. Capt Mike

I need some of those for some place I fish. I need them to get a few feet off the bank and so I can better cast on a weedline! 00

Man I hear you on weather troubles, I am usually slaying them by late march, but as of now the water temp is 48 and its supposed to be high of 50 for the next week, I haven't done good yet this year, although I have hauled in some hogs I think the temp will rise drastically in the next two weeks and they will go nuts, but for now, its too long of a drive to get skunked

Yep, it's been very wet here all spring. They are claiming it's the 6th wettest April in our areas history. But hey Mike, those are some HUGE cats your postin pics of. That at least makes the rain tolerable.

Send that rain here! We are as dry as a parched sponge. Haven't had rain for at least a month.

It's raining again. Capt, you might want to gather in the bathroom and hide in the tub cuz a tornado warning is out for the line of storms tonight.
I believe we've had enough rain already this week for the month. But we are behind in total rainfall for the year. Hopefully my pepper plants, lettuce, and eggplants don't wash away. And I really should have mowed all of the lawn last Sat and not just half of it. |

Yes and rain never ends...
This morning I took a detour to the over look at Fort Washington. The river has a half mile wide sea of trees in it. Just a big as they come. Whole populars and so much debris it is hard to see the water. Three creams in your coffee when you do see the water. Then drove over to the marina and the dock at the ramp is under water. It was still low tide BTW. Trips have been rescheduled and it may be a week before the river is navigable again. Stuck at home this weekend doing honey do's.. Woe is me... Capt Mike

I'm gonna make a trip out this Sunday to pre-fish for an upcoming tourne. I'll let you know how much debris we run over getting to our sweet spots!
