From some of your other posts, I believe your from NC or SC. So, with that in mind, and the tight budget, I'd say about a 14 foot jonboat. Not really a bassin machine, but it's reliable, maneuvarable, almost sort of a little bit fast, and it floats shallow.

Check http://charlotte.craigslist.org/boa/ for good deals. I just picked this one because that it is close to my brother, but they have one for most cities.
For example: http://charlotte.craigslist.org/boa/163083988.html I got a great deal on a car from craigslist last year, look around and you can find a lot of stuff for cheap. |
