Moose Country Fishing tackle!!!!
That's right i talked about. Then ended up saying that i was'nt going to do it. One reason was time & money. Which neither i have right this minute. Yes i have money to take care of a family. But not starting up my businiess. But I have a love a passion for big fish. Frankily most tackle made is not the quality that is once was. But the prices on baits are sure going up even though it's not as good as it once was. Well i'm doing it little by little. I just can't stand what i see out there in the market place. Guess what i still have no money, No camera, No website. But some how i'm going to make it work. But i do have my God. With him he can make it happen. Maybe it start's off by a word of mouth thing. All my stuff will be custom & not cheapest in the market place. But i promise as i develop my products you will get your money worth that you spent. I will make sure the quality & construction is at it's best. First product is Jigs, spinners, lead spoons. Then will come crankbaits & swimbaits. All will be made in small quanities at a time. All products will be made by me. I will also offer custom lures at customer request. This thread is not about selling anything. I Just want you to be the first to know. I promise you guy's one thing it will be the best product that you ever used. So this week end i started with what i have the most Jigs. So i tied 2 dozen 3/8 oz jigs in diffrent style heads. All 2 dozen are a pattern that i call the Show ME Shad. I offer it as a jig now & as what i call the micro spinner. This is a pattern will catch bass any where in the US. The next will be a a stand up jig that i call the Show ME Dad. A jig made to mimic a Crawdad. Well i have allot of work a head of me so mostly what i'm making now is just for stocking up my product line. Hope to see yeah on water somewhere soon using my baits.

Thanks!!! I admit i easily sway away from the lord. But i'm not going to any longer. With him anything is possible. That's why i'm just going for it. I know deep down it will happen.

I take my time making each one. I don't just glue the knot. I glue the whole collar. That way it just not tension on the threads that hold the hair on. Glueing the whole collar pentrates down to hair hardning it as well to the threads.

My first outing after ice out this year, I plan to use c rigs jigs and show Denny jigging too. I am certain I 'm going to order more missouri craw and other colors in his finese line, super great quality. Pair that up with a paca craw or a beaver and yer in bizness for some "tight lines"

Carolina i have no beef with yeahh. I'm not selling in this thread. I was just showing off some jigs. I don't have a problem with all rubber jigs either. But i do have a problem with some major companys charging & arm & leg for such a simple concept. I guess you see it diffrently. I'm sorry bro that you thaught i was pointing you out. Because i was'nt.

first off let me say this, i am in no way defending the bigger companies out there because i agree that they are charging a ton of money for their baits.............with that in mind here is how we price our jigs.
first off you have to take the following things into account when setting prices: 1. cost of jigheads 2. cost of hooks 3. cost of weedguards 4. cost of glue for weedguards 5. cost of skirt material (by the way we use twice as much as big companies so that is twice the cost for us) 6. cost of packaging materials (we use clamshells) 7. cost of labels that go in the clamshells 8. cost of ink and paper to print these labels 9. cost of shipping all of these things to you before you can even get started making the baits, and shipping charges are not getting any cheaper 10. excise tax which you will pay on all of these items unles you have the right tax form 11.profit margin 12. your labor which is usually pennies on the dollar. now if you forget any one of these things while setting your prices then you just screwed youself big time. now to get into stores you have to offer some kind of wholesale and retail pricing. this is a discount that you give the stores in order for them to turn a profit if they sell at msrp. so you have to have your prices set to where you are still turning a profit even at this discount or again you have screwed yourself big time. i agree that a lot of companies are charging more than they probably should but this is why you see bait prices going up. the real problem i have is when people think they can go to a big store and buy the same thing for less. it isn't the same thing, you are getting lesser quality and paying too much for it.

I agree with every thing your saying. That swimshad is a 4.00 dollar bait. I had some one pm me & say that they could buy jigs for 50 cents. I say good go buy em. I can't make a bait that cheap. Plus if they are that cheap. I bet you'll tie on a full card card og jigs before the day is over as well. Many of the mass produced hair jigs are only whip finished & not glued. If they are glued there only glued at the knot. I glue the whole collar. It pentrates down to the fibors & hardens with the thread. It ain't comming untied the way i make em. Because of that there is no mass produced jig made as well as mine.
