Missing! The Bait Monkey.
Haven't heard too much about him for awhile. He nabbed me today. Thank goodness I was short on cash. I stopped in the local tackle shop. They have St. Croix rods at 25% off. Sigh. I bought two bags of case plastics. Their copy of the horny toad and a bag of magic stix worms. I'll let you know how the toad copy works when I get back from fishing saturday.

ive heard of this so called baitmonkey and i want to know what the hell it is.is it that urge you have to just buy,buy buy,if so i have alot of them and they havnt been doin there thing lately

kh, the bait monkey sits on your shoulder and whispers in your ear you need to buy every fishing related item in sight. At times it becomes a 500 lb gorilla, jumps up and down, and screams in your ear.
  .Bob, mine appeared day before yesterday. Went into a sporting goods store, started talking to a guy about spinnerbait rods. They just got a new AllStar Classic spinnerbait rod in stock. You can figure out the rest

Reb, good luck with the new rod. The St Croix I had my eye on was a 7ft. medium, caster. At 25% off $90.00 I think that is a good price. Maybe I can find something around here to sell.

Ive Had It Bad This Weekend I Bought All Kinds Of Stuff And Just Realized Im Almost Out Of Cash. But I Did Get Nice Stuff. Everytime I Get Done Buying Stuff I Tell Myself And Agree With Myself That There Is No Way I Need More Soft Plastics. But I Bought About Another 8 Bags Of Sweet Beavers. (on Top Of The 15 Or So I Already Have). I Got More Wave Worms. And Yesterday I Bought 34!! Crankbaits/jerkbaits.

No sense fighting it, Bassthumb-you can't win. I have more stuff than I will use in this lifetime and still buy more. And love every minute of it

Mine hasnt showed up lately. I guess since I started back at school he started chasing them girls round just like his master lol. He will show up sooner or later. I just hope he dont bring a girl then it will be twice as bad......

Thats why im hoping he doesnt show up with one. Especialy one like mine that likes for me to empty my wallet every time we go out......... That wouldnt be very good.........

yo rebasser have u been to the new cabelas in buda. man that bait monkey hit me up 150 outa my allowance. i got some really good deals though. i got 1 senko kit, a whole bunch of bomber crank baits, and just a whole bunch of other stuff.
o by the way theres a gander mountain by my house in houston tx. man that place is so awsome i have seriously spent so much money there. just the other day me and my paps spent about 100 dollars on some stuff. but its well worth it |

ive got so much stuff that hasnt even gotten wet yet too. its pathetic. i have like 13 rod/reel combos (nice ones too). i usuall only use like 8 or so. never thought this sport would be so expensive. lol. im kinda scared to buy a boat. then theres gps trolling motors onboard chargers fishfinders etc. it just doesnt get any cheaper. all to catch fish, seems like a lot to catch a fish lol. o well.

Went fishing last saturday and sunday. Saturday was real bad with rain and high winds. Didn't get a strike. Sunday was a little better. Tried the Case horny toad lookalike. It is a lot lighter than the Horny Toad and I had trouble casting it on my rod. I caught two nice bass on top water baits. They didn't go for anything else, plastics, jigs, plugs, spinnerbaits. I caught a 5lber. on a Tournament frog, and three lber. on a white rat. I can't wait to go back to that canal next spring. I saw a huge bass jumping across the canal. It was a little too far to reach with my rod. I need a small portable boat of some type to fish that canal. I think it doesn't get any pressure at all. If there is another forum contest I will be going there to fish.
