fishing line question

i was wondering what lb test i should get for my pole because i am going to have to reline it soon. i have decided already to try the cajun red cast line and i was wondering what lb test would be good. i use mostly worms such as senkos and tikis. i have a spinning rod. i was thinking about getting 10 but i dont know if i should go bigger or not. any advice?

10 is good. I wouldnt go much higher than 10 on a spinning reel. 12 is the heaviest I have ever used on a spinning setup.

I stick with 8 for spinning. I wouldn't go any heavier than 10.

I've used 14lb. Magnaflex on spinning reels. I like it. It has stood up to some rough fishing. I was going to try the cajun as an alternative to flourocarbon. I understand it's invisible under water. I am going to visit their exhibit tomorrow at the classic.

I have used 14 and 15lb Trilene XL and Big Game on a spinnning rod, but your casting distance is gone.

10s fine unless u are fishing in trees or hydrilla mats then u might go 20

My standard has been 10#, but I've gone as high as 12#. Not a problem as long as it's a spinning-friendly line and the reel spool is large enough.

I would suggest you might look else where for line for a spinning reel then Red Cajun. It is a copolymer and like P-Line has a really bad memory! I have test this line of several different occassions for different retailers I do not like it. Yes it does disappear under water, as red is the first color to disappear in the water coloum, but I did not like it for fishing a Senko, worm or jig. I do however like to use it for fast moving baits such as rattle-traps and buzzbaits, it is very strong line and can take a punishment, but not good on spinning reels.

that way you cant decide which test to use,other
than that use 8

I dont go any lighter than 10 either.

8 lb test would be for extreme finiciky on spinning tackle with finesse bait.
Other than that I go with 10, 12 , 14, 17 , 20 lb test for baitcasters

Fireline is a fused line not braided!

Cajun red cast is extra limp and was designed for spinning applications, your talking about lightining which does have horrible memory. I would recomend red cast.
