Skip gap hooks
Just saw these in the stores up near me, and wondering who has had experience with em, and what the advantages/disadvantages may be.

i used them skipping baits under docks they work well for it.. bit longer than a ewg hook of the same size. baits don't slid down as much when skipped. i really like them for bushhogs or similar baits.. only bad thing i have found is i have broken them trying to break off with braid.. though i REALLY dout a bass would put that kind of pressure on the hook..

Cool, thanks Zook. They have me intrigued for some of the crap I fish that just likes to cause bait slid...

Absolutely love the concept....
From the looks of it though, when you rig it the "skip gap" has to go through the worm. Doesn't this tear it up? Zook, what do you say about this? -Lunk-

I like to use them for toads. Hoods them on pretty good. I did not have the same problem as Zook in the pads or slop.

Been using them for about a year on all my soft plastics. I like the way they hold the bait better than the regular offset hooks. I don't skip a bait much since my lake doesn't require it, but I still like these hooks.
Lunker as far as damaging the worm I don't think it is any more and maybe a little less than the regular offsets since the bend isn't as drastic.
