Crankbait rod?
For a good all around crankbait rod would I need a M, MH, or H action rod? I would like to be able to fish both shallow and deep cranks from this one rod if at all possible. Thanks in advance for the advice guys

a Medium action rod in 6'6" or 7' is great for everything down to about 12 feet. If you're really going deep with a big crankbait (DT16, DD22), you really need a MH action. Deep crankin' on a M action rod will wear you down and will load up the rod too much.
So if you don't plan on throwin' the big deep runners, Medium action is a good all-around choice, imo. |
