Default Lightning Rod

I bought one of these from wal mart to use as my spinnerbait rod. I am pleased with it , so for all those posts people ask about the rod , go ahead and buy the rod , and spend alittle more on the reel of choice... I really dont think you would be unhappy..

Broke one of my rods one day and needed a quick replacement. Stopped at Wally world and bought a 7ft mh. Not a bad rod imo. I still use it to pitch buzzbaits in the pads.

It sounds like I'm gonna have to get me one of these and try it out. I've been needing a good rod for a while now and I'm on a budget. Although, being a storm chaser, I don't much care for the name. I've had too many close calls. Plus, sometimes I take my fishing gear with me in case its a slow day.

esipes you be careful ifn you get a lighting rod. they really do attract lighting. but i love the rod. gonna get another one cause i just broke my old one in half. oh well,.... bait monkey grabs me again. hahaha. and wally world sells them here for about 35 bucks. not bad for a rod that has lasted me 20 years. broke ol faithful. gotta go cry now guys. sniff, sniff.

I have one myself, but it is currently going under the knife...

The painter's tape is hiding the blank and it looks ugly right now but it should look much better after I shape the tail and front cork ends. It does feel great though and when held in hand, my palm is in full contact with the blank. This should hopefully increase the trasnmission of vibrations to me, undampened by the cork.

Sadly this rod has not seen any real action. I bought it as a jog rod for a steal, but shortly afterward, I managed to score a Shimano Crucial for $59.00. It took a backseat big time, so I thought I ought to make up for it by converting it and fish with it more.
