My First Car and My First Boat

The over 30 thread mentioned first cars. Just curious too see how times have changed and what you got vs what the younger generation is getting. And for fun, throw in your first boat. Don't forget to mention your age.

I'm 42. I had three much older sisters. Each of them got respectively: 196x Corvair, 196x Volkswagon beetle, 1966 convertible mustang. Note the pattern? Cool cars. So my 16th rolls around and I come home (its 1982) and there is a Datsun 260Z sitting in the driveway. I'm all excited with the score. Only to find out that my mom is taking that car and passing down to me her 1976 AMC Hornet station wagon with the real simulated wood panelling. Oh Joy! That's my first car. First boat was bought in 1994. It was a 1982 Bayliner 18' for $1000.
