Default loomis bought back loomis

I just heard Gary Loomis just bought back G.loomis rods from Shimanno. Has anyone else heard anything about this. From what I understand, he wasn't happy with they way Shimmano represented his name by mass marketing a bunch of b.s. rods, and the quality was "starting to really suffer". not to mention the lifetime warranty.

Its going to be difficult for him if he did buy it back. There are alot of different new companies that are making some really nice products that weren't part of the competition for him before.I wish him well, his product helped fuel my desire to continue to fish over the years and has helped etch some of my favorite memories of fishing trips. I remember my family, thinking how crazy I was for spending so much money on a fishing rod, but it was worth every penny I paid for it. I still have it today, I don't use it any more due to having new favorite rods that I fish with.P N J
