Fishing a stock tank probably not much bigger than your house. I had a bleeding shad spinnerbait with a big, single Colorado blade and it was literally the last cast of the day. Almost dark, and when it hit I thought it was a catfish until I got it up to the bank and saw this huge mouth. Got it on the bank and it weighed right at 8.

My first really big fish out of a big lake was in the spring, prespawn, I was flipping buckbrush at ky lake and saw a log resting about 45 degrees up againt another tree, and buck brush in the background areas, all in about 3 ft of water, I flipped an 1/2 ounce black/blue jig with a craw on , and got bit, she went around the brush but I was able to get her with the net, it was 7lb , prefishing a tourney...went back there next few days and got a 6 off the same log, with a dif. partner

my biggest bass i caught came out of a mid sized farm pond. i caught it on a spit n image and it weighed 8.8 lbs. it would have been fun on any bait but you can't beat topwater!
p.s. i released her and had a replica made! carolina - rig |

not too much at all because i know the guy that did it. it was something like $125 not for sure it was a christmas gift from my grandparents. i don't know does that sound high? everybody around here wants like $8 and inch to mount one and she was right at 28 inches so i thought it was pretty reasonable.

i was fishing about 2 months ago in a medium sized-pond. i cast a plastic worm to a weed bed in about 6 feet of water.after i made the cast,i thought,"i think i should reel this one in and change to a different color",but i decided to reel slowly. i felt 3 taps, dropped the rod tip and pounded my rod high over my head."it's a big un ,i know it"she had my rod bent over and i saw her when i pulled her on shore, yelling to my buddies across the lake,"look at this pretty lady!". they came over and we weighed her in at 3.5lbs.i know it doesnt sound like much, but this is only my 2nd year bass fishing, and this was the biggest bass ever caught on the lake i was fishing.

My biggest catch was a Blue Marlin. Caught it somewhere off the Delaware coast. I have no idea what it weighed but it was the biggest fish that I ever handled on a rod and reel. My friend's dad developed a hernia as a result of fighting the fish (we passed the rod from person to person for about an hour and half before we could get it by the boat). He had to have hernia surgery shortly thereafter.
My second biggest catch was was a white marlin. The irony of the situation is that I go bass fishing as often as I can and still haven't caught that big one. And I have gone deep sea fishing a few times, and caught a big fish and received a citation (award for large catch and release). |

i dont really weigh or measure most of my fsh when im just fishing for fun. I would have to say my biggest is about 4lbs caught on a white buzzbait in a private pond in georgia. Biggest ones ive weighed were a 2lb largemouth and a 2lb smallmouth.

Caught an Eight on a homemade spinnerbait, caught a bedding 7.4 on a lizard, lost what I estimate to be about a 14 pounder while screwing around with my little brother's snoopy pole. Also- 25 pound dolphin, drifting a live mullet, 5 foot 'cuda on a snapper I was bringing in.

OK i haven't caught the fish YET but give me time. I am going for the KY state record largemouth. The in-laws have a 2-3 acre lake. It's full of big fish. My brother-in-law called me while i was fishing a trny in AL last fall and said he finally caught the big one that had broke him off 3 times already. He used a set of scales that he weighs turkeys on and the fish was between 11-12 lb. A couple lb. short of Ky record. He caught the fish in the fall and i am going to try and get her this spring or next spring, she should be a pound or 2 heavier. I have it all worked out now i hope she bites
