30 minutes of wasting gas.....each way! Oh well. Guess I'll check my email and do a couple posts. Head home and work in the yard a little. Play with my tackle and wait for my boat to get fixed.

Made the decision not too long ago. County wants me to get another teaching license and continue with the 50-55 hour weeks. New boss thinks that it's just part of the job and it's required. I don't have the time to work on another license or the desire to teach more so that I can work more and still get paid the same as others who do much less.
Came to a head when the Superintendent screamed at me and threw a letter at me across a table when I said I was only going to work 40 hours a week for the remainder of this year. Then she said I was putting the students at risk and that I would be fired if I didn't do as the Principal asked.
Got a couple leads on some openings. Will be a while before the interview process starts but I'm ready to move on. I've been a member of the state org since 1988 so I have a few contacts and friends in the business so I'll find work. Not an issue. If I can't I'll look into becoming an EMT. Already have years of hands on experience with inujuries.
And then if things get really bad I guess I'll move down to Alabama and hang out with ya!!!

Anger, threats, and intimidation aren't the greatest qualities that one looks for in their "superiors" when you ask for your work load to be reduced.

Try to wrap your brains around this. There is no money to hire a part time PE teacher but the county spends $450,000 on plans to build a new stadium at the new school. They hired three companies to design plans and choose the one that will build a stadium that is too small (not enough required seating) to hold a district or regional championship game......
