lures getting snagged in trees

yeah lubbock, i have one thats for putting lightbulbs on high cielings. similar to what you described.

If you threw a lure high enough in a tree/bush that you can't reach it, say goodbye to it. You need more practice. If you're missing your target by that much get some backyard time and know where your lure is going. If my fishing partner ever lobs a bait into a tree when we're fishing, I tell him to wave goodbye to it, I'm not going in after it - unless I've got good water and it's reachable - and if he yanks it out and that bait sticks me............. don't even want to think about it. You owe it to yourself and other fishermen to be in control of your bait. Now in all seriousness, you should be watching you bait as it sails through the air and if it it's too high, wide whatever use you dang thumb on a baitcaster, finger on a spinning reel, stop the cast and try again. Control, control, it's all about control ask VanDam. And as stated above, be darn careful pulling on line with a lure hung up above water, good way to get yourself or a fishing partner stuck, I know that would not make my day.
