Changing hooks on a crankbait
Hey guys,
I never changed then hooks on any of my crankbaits. I just bought some new hooks and I'm trying to replace them... I'm having a really hard time. It took my like 1hr and 20 min or so to change 3 crankbaits. Is there a certain way you guys do it? Or do I just sit there and just keep trying? My thumbnail is dying...lol... Or could there be a tool to use? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance ! ~YBM |

They make snap ring pliers. Makes changing them alot easier.
See the little tooth on the end? You just put it between the loops of the snap ring give it a squeeze and it opens them right up. |

While I prefer split ring pliers as well, a knife blade will work-used one for years before I wised up and got the pliers.
